At 5:58, Tom realises that his current speed and angle of approach won't yield him the exit he was hoping for. What follows is often referred to as 'a moment'. The body then does all manner of odd things, some people get clean off, others let go of the bars, more experienced riders refuse to let go of the bike regardless (ask Leila about this :p) until torsional forces make them.

Happens to us all sooner or later on track, if you're lucky it won't hurt you (or the bike) too much.

For a second I thought you were just going to cut the corner off and get back on track, were you on the brakes onto the grass or summin to make you come off?

the plan was just to cut the corner. if i'd carried on my line i was likely to hit the black bike so thought it wouldn't hurt to go over the grass, stood the bike up, released the brakes thottle etc and headed straight :D just someone forgot to tell me the grass there isn't smooth but rutty as hell. Front wheel just dropped into one and that was that, bit of a pain as i had choosen the spot to get back on the track in front of the black bike :hah:
