Give someone a job to do and they have been screwing it up for the last 8 months - in a subtle way that only becomes apparent when analysing the data. So muggins here (who likes to trust data being presented to the Board) is redoing all the info.

60+ files to download (each takes a few mins because the work server is choked!!) and re-calculate the data. A 1 hour job has been SIGNIFICANTLY increased and on current rate, will be at least 10 hours!!

    Grumpy doesn't sum it up...

Try working with someone who has been doing their job for 8 years and still pleads ignorance at not knowing some of the basic fundamentals of their job! When the company had a smaller turnover and before I started she managed to get away with it...NOT for much longer...

    Good luck anyway:)

I have a staff member who seems to be "forgetting" everything he ever knew......wont accept guidance, and keeps pushing the boundaries, but not enough to be classed as misconduct therefore, unable to get rid of the bugger, instead, having to keep checking on what he is supposed to do and do it myself. (medical issues on this one, having to tread incredibly carefully!)....doesn't seem to matter that client no longer wishes to have this person working with him. I would like to think that if a client said they did not enjoy working with me any longer, that I would do the decent thing and move on! But hey ho......there you go.

I'm afraid many businesses have people who play the system, know their rights etc. etc. and end up being carried by everyone else. It's not right but once their in the door it's bloomin hard to get rid of them!

So that's Saturday and Sunday accounted for. Tell you what: take Sunday night off. Let your hair down. Relax. Then be back at your desk at 08:00 on Monday, sharp!

Can't get my reimbursement for my cancelled bike insurance cause they say I have lodged a claim with them. I rang them and said it was a notifcation of an accident as it was third party, fire & theft so no claim was lodged. The bastards state until I can provide in writing I cannot get my insurance back!!

Well that's just great as 5 months later, the third party's insurance company is "still determining liability"...... arg :bhead: :bhead: :bhead:

Sounds EXACTLY like someone I work with. He either acts thick or he just IS thick. Doesn't do what he's supposed to do and tells me "I'm not taking orders from a shop assistant" (right now I'm the acting asst. manager). Boss just sits there and lets it go; doesn't want to get involved, and we're all fed up of carrying him. But because this person doesn't actually say he REFUSES to do what he's asked, the company can't get rid of him misconduct for. He just says over and over again 'if I get sacked I'll see you all in court'. Got to work with him tomorrow - oh joy :boohoo:

Insurance AGAIN. Footman James ceased doing motorcycle insurance. My details passed to Bike Team. Renewed very reasonable. £183 for TBird and Pan.(Fully Comp, Passenger,Forigen Use, Homestart, Leagl and Breakdown). Went to add the Rocket. WTF. Extra £540!!!.
So phoned Carole Nash they could do all three for £380, so contacted Bike Team and cancelled under the "14 day cooling off period". The paper work states there would be a £20 admin fee for doing this and they would also charge for "time on risk" ( a full one days cover @ £15.60).
So I expected a cost of a rebate less £35.60. WRONG. it cost £72.56!!! Minimal rebate for Breakdown Cover/Homestart/Legal Protection!!!
