Extended Mirror Arms

Hi,

I have mirrors like these (these are not mine)

but my jacket fills most of the mirror and my rear view is pretty poor...

Does anyone know if you can unscrew the mirror end to fit extensions like these?

If the originals screw into the lever clamps then just get the correct thread. AFAIK it will either br 8mm or 10mm but Yamaha? have left hand thread?

 

I was thinking more about removing the mirror from the arm, rather than the arm from the bike? (if that makes sense?)

 

"Most" mirrors are attached to the arm by some form of movable joint, to allow for adjusment, so would say its not possible in "most" casas

 

Looks perfectly possible to me. Can you remove the mirror from the arm and check the thread? Or pop down to my place and I can check the threads for ya?
