Any electricians out there? Just got home to find no sockets are working in the house. Checked the fuses and when turned on another breaker kicks in and turns itself off cutting the power to the sockets. Tried unplugging appliances from eqch socket but still nothing! I think it is a faulty breaker but i am no sparky hence the need for some help please!

What have you done recently that could have caused this?

Panic over thanks guys! After unplugging everything in the house, trying each socket one at a time I could not find what was blowing the trip thing. Spoke to a sparky last night and he said it could be as simple as a bad earth somewhere. He came around this morning and did what ever he did and now we have power and heating! Woohoo! And it only cost me £40!
