I was reading a post on the 675, some guy has hit 100k on Tona 675 since 2006, and original clutch, got to say that is pretty impressive, so can anyone top it?

No way mate, my bikes not even broken 7k since new yet. Not afraid to admit I`m a fairly fair weather rider but thats mainly because I don`t like cleaning my bike to much ;)

I read a bit more of the thread, everything is original still on it, as in the main parts etc.

def one well looked after bike, thats for sure. I¬ve heard of a merc car doing 250k on the original clutch but not a bike doing sucha high mileage.

I have had a few cars from new done well over 100k in a few years all original, but my best was a sunny nissan GTI-e did 220k on all original except a gearbox rebuild at 50k as there was a design fault, they did not change the clutch as they said it was like new. I sold it to my GF Brother, and he did about 10k and wrote it off :(
Had a R5 GTI did 100k in 2 years no probs except clutch cables, sold it at 2 yr old dirt cheap saw the car 5/6 years later with 60k on the clock spoke to the guy he still said the car drove like new, but was not impressed when I told him I sold it 2 yr old 100k, think he was about 4th owner.

I find the last few new cars I have owned have had far more trouble than cars from the 90's

I never used to keep my cars longer than 2 years but my Jag I kept for nearly 9 & all I replaced were the front wishbones.

That is impressive but how did he ride it? Think ive done 22k in 1.5 years on the honda. My Harley clutch lasted less than 5k, but then it was made of leather with bone rivets...

i think he is till riding it. If you keep it on the m25 and only stop for fuel, it should be good for another 100k...:D

i wonder how many bikes have done way more just for some reason they still only show 20,000 on the clocks ;)
it's clearly harder to clock cars than it used to be but bikes seams to be easy still, you can send your clocks away to a company on ebay and they will adjust them for you, menat to be if you crash and buy second hand clocks or replace the engine but i bet they do more sets than there are crashed bikes each year.

Before the big off, I used to rack up in excess of 20k miles a year, none of which was commuting. Of course I also racked up fair astonishing replacement part costs too...

I should reiterate, none of which were commuting or business related.

20k plus pleasure(?) miles, a year.

    I rode my bike, alot.

yes but how many were upgrades and tinkering rather than needed? We all know you don't like anything off the shelf and simple :p
