Yesterday actually...But... some low life scumbags who cant be bothered to get off their arses and get a real job thinking it is ok to take from hard working people who try and make a go of things in providing a home for their kids...Yup these scumbags broke in to my sisters house over the weekend, laptop (with all the pictures of the kids on it!), computer, jewellry, a VERY expensive given to my bro-inlaw by his last company as thank you and load of other bits, all gone! I hope they meet with a painfull and nasty accident that causes them an IMENSE amount of pain and discomfort :mad:

be nice if you could help cause said accident  hope they get caught and some of the stuff is returned.

just remembered what pi$$ed me off was seeing the bunch of muppets standing for the £100k police commissoners job in sussex. Not one of them said lets just round up the scum and hang them from the nearest lamp post / tree which is surley the most effective way to cut crime.

Ouzo is in at the mechanics getting lowered. Metal fab guys says drop it in on Saturday, we'll measure you up, and should be right to pick up on Tuesday.

Numpty rings me on Tuesday to say he needs another 3-4 days to do it. Alls he had to do was fab a dog bone, stuck the fecking thing in and lower the front forks (possibly change the side stand). But ONE WEEK for that.

Understandably, I lost it. Bike will be ready to pick up tomorrow. So now Joe and I can go for our 1000km (450km one way ride) down south this weekend to a friend's place!!! :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :whoo:

Yeah I bloody intend to! However, I've made it quite clear that I'm still only paying the quoted price no matter how much longer they take!

Bit of a catalogue of disasters really.
Van failed MOT :-(. Nothing major, just a bit of spot welding to be done but more monies than had hoped to spend.
Then, seagull s**t on my car. So, for once, thought I would cheat and take it through car wash. Whilst in said carwash (at 4pm I add) I also ate my lunch, quiche. (All will be clear in a minute). Whilst eating lunch I noticed I was getting a bit wet. Ooops, passenger window was obviously not completely closed , footwell now full of water. Then noticed I had forgotten to lower aerial . Now have banana shaped aerial and wet foot well. Then realised water in back too. Window seal has gone in rear passenger window.
And to top it all off - remember that quiche? - I now have a very upset stomach and have no hope of moving far from the facilities for the evening .
So, fingers crossed, things can only improve tomorrow! Plus, it p***ed me off but sure it's gonna make someone smile :giggle:

Sorry Leila , I did laugh. Was remembering that Youtube video. A guy was in the carwash, noticed his aeriel was up, opened door to push aeriel down and carwash ripped his door off!!! You need a rideout on Sunday. GWS:)

    Today's gripes:
Driving in the rain with fog lights on. They're FOG lights. You don't need to dazzle everyone with their reflection on the wet road, you pr1ck.

Apostrophe abuse and your/you're, there/their. Punctuation and spelling are the difference between knowing your sh1t, and knowing you're sh1t.

Golf umbrellas. Short people should not be allowed to carry these, and particularly not on a windy day. It's a miracle I made it to work with my eyesight intact

    I think I need a lie down...

heh, I call them Driving Lights :), and tbh if fog lights are blinding you, then they are set up all wrong, though I never use them in the day time. it is the rear fog lights that really piss me off, they should be a lot lower, and made to be turned off when someone is following you, I never use rear fog lights.

Short person me never uses Umbrella, and for speeling was never my strong point, :)

I believe the Law has changed somewhat in relation to fog lights, front and rear over the last thirty years. It used to be that if they were fitted to your vehicle, you were obliged to use them when visibility is reduced, eg. in falling rain. Now I think the interpretation tends towards the continental '...when visibility is reduced, eg. in mist or fog.' (My italics). And (importantly) you must turn them off when visibility clears or if they could dazzle other road users. Ok, driving through patchy fog means you putting them on and off in quick succession, but I understand that's what the Law currently demands as best practise. So it follows that falling rain by itself shouldn't prompt fog lamps, but (in my view) resultant spray represents a Must Turn On event.

How many times have you overtaken a line of cars in the middle lane on a motorway and, just for half a second, aimed for the gap in front of the leading truck only to discover it's occupied already by a relatively slow-moving car with just side-lights at the rear?

As I drove back from Birmingham to Tunbridge Wells via Folkestone in thick fog last week, arriving at 05:00 on Thursday morning, I would just like to record here that I HATE fog. Really, really, really hate fog! Snow, ice, rain, high wind... all difficult, but fog? Ugh!! Perhaps the only thing worse is freezing fog.

Yeah, fog is the worst. While we're griping:confused:...why am I the only one to use the handbrake when sat in traffic, at lights etc?
