normally a tyre guy is on site, so you might get some scrubs and have them fitted on the day

normally I would take that chance, but I found last year, that 'services' at track days are somewhat diminished over Winter sessions...

I have found a back up though...£30 more I can get them done within a days notice.

Might just ride down to the fitting shop, so I can scrub them on the way back...lol...

There are several ways to fix that Gary. One is to helicoil it, another is to chemical metal a special valve into it, so that it can't happen again?

Sort of pissed me off, but actually made me smile too, but should not smile on others mis fortunes. Driving in car to pick up Ruth's Son and GF, off the Maresfield roundabout up towards 5 Ash Down under the bridge, Loads of lieing water with steam (heh not really stream) coming off it, thinking yeah that gonna freeze if not gritted, drove past this stretch of road 3 times more one at 4 am Friday morning, Matt texted me yesterday, you know that stretch of road we were talking about, icing up, 2 cars at least crashed there one on it's side, and another in the hedge. I bet there were more as it is down hill and you need to stop for the roundabout(sad part), I am not joking that this patch of road is only 50 YDS from the large Gritting Depot on the roundabout, where I know they were gritting that night. The water has been running there for days too.

Having been a tad cold at Brands today I have been looking forward to my mum's home cooked chilli all day only to find, when I got home, that her other half had eaten it all for breakfast!! :(

It was yesterday, but I'm still fuming: it was returning along the M-25 and discovering that (i) there are to be roadworks from now until August 2014, at least on the west-bound side and (ii) the first preparation woork they did is to install numerous SPECs cameras. There are no signs yet to say whether they are working or not, so we have to assume they are currently 'On' and, most sneakily of all in my view, (iii) some are rear-facing, some front facing. Of course this means we bikers are just as likely as anyone else to be tripped up by an auto-generated ticket. GGGRRRRRRRRR!

They appear to start at Junction 5 (where the A-21 joins from the south) and stretch at least to Junction 6. This is going to be awful, I can feel it in my bones. Already there are big traffic queues along that bit of the motorway from 06:15 until well after 9:00 - now there will be huge tailbacks down the left hand side of the approaching A-21 as well.

The A-25 is already stuffed with traffic; I cannot think of a faster way around that section. Any ideas, anyone?
ps. the first person to say, "Helicopter" will warrant an electronic raspberry...
