Years back, when I had an XVS (Yammy cruiser) I rememeber getting to work one morning and when I got off the bike there was a cracking noise as all the ice fell off the front of my jacket. Must have been nippy on the way there.

This January I did some photography at Hed Kandi in Clapham and rode home at -11 at 3am

Coldest temperature I've ever experienced in the UK and I was deeply grateful that 1. it was dry and 2. I have linked ABS. Didn't have heated gear at the time and my heated grips did little for the backs of my hands which were numb within ten minutes of leaving the bar.

Got home about 4.30am practically hypothermic :brr:

I once rode from Brighton back to Somerset very late at night, mid winter. I don't know what the temperature was, but it was so cold that the droplets of moisture on my eyelashes kept freezing. Fortunately I was wearing false lashes at the time, so I simply removed them and popped them in my pocket ;).

I do recall that it took a good twelve hours until I could relax, stop shivvering and move properly again. Taters. :(

my first ever track day a few years back. the warmest part of the day hit -6 so no idea how cold it was riding to it at some stupid time in the morning or riding back in the snow. i did have to stop 3 times on the way up and heat my gloves on the pipes just to try and get enough feeling in my hands to ride.
Not sure that was the coldest but it sticks in my head because i was on a time scale, out all day and had to wear leathers so really felt it.

my visor was freezing up on the track

but i'd still do it again :D

Rookie training school at Snetterton was one of the worst. The snow plough had to keep clearing the track before we could get out. I put those hand warmer things in my boots so that I could get some feeling back in my toes!
I used to ride home to Northiam from Bristol at the weekends when I was at Uni there. Like Skortchio I arrived and within a short time had the ice dropping off the front of my jacket! I had had to stop on the hard shoulder every 20 mins or so just to peel my fingers off the bars and get some movement back in them. That was one journey when I wondered why I had never invested in a car!

When your balls turn into ovaries you know it's too cold to be on a bike ;)

Well I've got the opposite problem!

    It's regularly:
    Weather for Brisbane QLD
    [IMG] 34°C

Problem is that hubby and I are dehydrating SOOOO fast in leathers that I have turned into one of "THOSE" riders - wearing helmet and that's it. I've even got a dryrider air jacket (http://tinyurl.com/d46rpox) - all vented - and still pee sweat like a pig. Good way to loose weight, but don't imagine it is too safe riding in that state!
