Anyone know of a good car mechanic?

    Bought a Discovery for littlun, thought it was a good un, turns out there is an issue either with clutch or clutch and gearbox, it is an automatic and needs to be on the road asap. (on an N plate)
    It is in Rye and can be limped short distances. Desperately need to find a trustworthy mechanic nearby to fix it at a reasonable price.

    Auto gearbox rebuilds are generally pricey, very pricey. Might be cheaper to source a recon'd one.

    I have a good mechanic mate, does all our vehicles. Only problem is he will be away for next 3 weekends. However, I will ask him if he can give any advice or recommend someone.

    The Guy who owns/runs the garage next door to the oil recalmation place on the Harbour road did a good job for me on the Astra. (and hes a biker)
