    Hey Everyone,

Bit of a panic been looking around for weeks to try and find any shop selling anything remotely suitable for the hotter climates as I'm off to Egypt in a week. Even with their spring collections coming out, it's still not quite there.

Anyone got any ideas where you can get shorts or similar light clothing in the UK this time of year?

Prefer retail as time is short but if anyone knows any online shops may just bite the bullet and pay for next day delivery.

Thinking of heading into town this weekend as maybe the bigger stores will have more choice but I doubt it.

    Thanks

Millets do a lot of the hiking style pants/shorts (zip off ones). They're lightweight. Their spring stuff is coming in. Sports Direct always seems to do a mix of everything, winter and summer.

What about the usual online sites like Asos / Austin Reed / Very / Amazon etc? Retails won't stock 'out of season' clothes as floorspace is expensive, so online retailers tend to have a wider product range. Most will also provide next day delivery. Just a thought (and it saves the drag of having to trawl through the shops!).

Very true hence the problem. Pretty much buy anything online but when it comes to clothes I like to try them on first, (same with bike clothing/helmets as well) even if I could same a few bucks by buying online.

Anyways headed to the shops today and it looks like even they are sensing that better weather is in the air as they did have a much better selection than last time. Here's hoping.

The thought had crossed my mind but as I'm going to be floating down the Nile wasn't 100% sure I'd be near anywhere do that.

Could I just point out that Egypt isn't exactly tropical at this time of year? Especially on the water - outside Cairo there is little shelter from the wind. You may need a woolly in the evenings.

 that's why I'm going this time of year. Mid 20's high is good enough for me and nothing that can't be solved by wearing a hoodie.

I'll take it over sub-10 degrees with snow/ice.

I've previously done some time in Egypt. Buy it here. The quality and the ideal of shopping in the bazaars is so full on you'd probably drive yourself to drinking.

Load up at M&S and BHS I say. Make sure all your holiday pics are from waist up and noone will know!

    Oh, HAVE FUN!!

You might end up in a sand storm like we did, so it won't matter what you are wearing!!

Maybe I should bring the bike goggles just in case then. Good enough for the Dakar .

    All part of the adventure!
