Margate beach race 2nd/3rd March

Has anyone been to http://www.margatebeachcross.com/ before or thinking of going this weekend? If it's dry (haha) I might have a look.

 

I certainly would have if I was not doing something else, not sure if it I can go on Sunday, but weather suppose to be better, so if there are a few of us?

 

I didn't even know thay they held an event there, so I might well pop across tomorrow (hangover permitting). Thanks for the heads-up!

 

I went 2 yrs ago. Brilliant day out even if it was fffffffff very cold with a norteastly breeze.

 

I could well be up for this Alex...I'll check in on the thread tomorrow to see if any plans have firmed up..Be good to see you for a bit of beach racing...

Meet at the Oakdene? Any pref on time?

 

I'm hoping to get there depending on intake tonight . May be 2 or 4 wheels dependant on

 

I'm out this evening so not too early, shall we say 10.30 at Oakdene. I know quite a good route from the Leeds Castle turn on the M20 which goes through Charing, Challock etc as far as Canterbury but not from there on.

Beach racing was good and so was the ride...We got lucky with the weather too so all in all a good start to the season...nice one!

 

Oh and one other thing to note as not sure if anyone was aware:-

There is a new Speedway track opening on Monday evenings (6.30pm) in Sittingbourne..
