Last weekend we were awoken by the telephone in the small hours of Sat/Sun by the mother inlaw...She had taken a bit of a tumble, had rung the emergency services but was in pain and laying on the floor. And before anyone askes, NO she hadnt been drinking. So, Xrays, checkups and two days sitting in A&E they sent her home saying nothing had been broken. Finding this rather strange - seeing as she broke one of her replacement hips the other year - we took the experts opinion and advice. Today and after being bed-ridden and imense pain all week the mother inlaw went back to hospital - after waking us again in the small hours via her emergncy pensioner alarm thing - and eight hours later they find she has broken her hip! Oh joy! And now for the operation and weeks of recovery begins...My poor motherinlaw and wife...

Oh bugger Fergy! Hope she recovers quickly. Unfortunately, hips are the ones that take the longest time. I hope it was the other hip, not the same one!

This is going to sound weird (and may make some smile) but she is actually on her third hip! After breaking one of the replacements she had done a fews years back. She is a tough old bird after all the ops and breakages over the years but each time the recovery takes just a little longer.
Thanks for all the messages guys. NEED A BLOODY RIDE OUT THOUGH! Hope this weather buggers off soon:mad:

LOL Huge thunderstorms with thunder and lightning last night. Trees uprooted. But passed as quickly as it came. 32 degrees today so took my boy and had a little blat after work (well until I saw too many police cars!)

Very cold today, did a round trip of 160 mils today, it was dam cold this morning, and then the sun came out this afternoon and got even colder and windier.
But this is what peed me off a little, My rear tyre from having a nice full tread on it to this in 40 miles, even Tom and I was looking at it the other day. But I checked it today while out as we were talking tyres, saw a few very small cracks here and there, looked at it around 40 mile later and saw this

I Heard when they go they go quick, I was in Petworth, the good thing once I saw it took it easy, and it did not get a lot worse riding home :)......... So Maxxix I think here I come
