yeah, typical tokico 6 pot crap.. one piston was pretty stuck and the others weren't moving smoothly so calipers are off, split and being cleaned now... the worst offender has clearly had water/salt ingress past the dust seal as the ally is corroded in the groove and pushed the seal out, hence the binding.. which is annoying as i rebuilt them last year and made sure there was plenty of red rubber grease there... . thought the brakes felt funny the last time i went out, but this morning the bike wouldnt budge until i gave it a good shove... discs arnt looking too great either so got my eye on some 4 pots nissins that will fit and will prob just upgrade the front brakes as a whole, rebuild the mc whilst im there... just means no rides until the parts get here .... tis my own fault i guess tho as i have prob been a bit lax with the cleaning

"Winter" is starting here. Rode to work today and it was 14 degrees. Think I've lost my English winter thick skin! It was so fooking cold. Gotta get my skins, chin warmer and winter gloves out that I put into a storage container for long term.... :(

being kept awake by two terriers barking last night......thought I had managed to sort this long term problem (three years on and off!) by being good and going through the proper channels......apparently not.
Sooooo, I've gone round and "had a word" with the two alkies in charge of the poor dogs. NOW let's see if they let their f*cking dogs bark all night.....;)

Bloody Doctors! Tried to make an appointment last week due to the asthma being bad again, I got told the earliest they could see me would be the 22nd of this month! So I struggled on thinking after a week the asthma problems would die down but on Thursday night I gave in and went to the hospital. After a few hours they sorted me out and told me to see my doctors. So Friday morning I rang them and explained the situation but nope no appointment, I had to ring at 08.30 Monday morning and they would find me a 'spare' slot. So bang on 08.30 I rang. And rang. And Rang. Constantly engaged for 10 minutes! Then I get through to be told they are fully booked! So after a little tantrum they can fit me in around 11am, which will no doubt be nearer 12! Time to find a new doc me thinks!

I have a sneaky feeling that, that is a pretty universal problem nowadays. My docs are exactly the same.

Have you signed up for visiononline? Allows you to book appointments over the net. My GP holds back a few appointments & they get put up about 8pm the evening before they are available. e.g. Tuesdays held back slots are put up monday evening.

A woman in a big people carrier......jabbering away on her iphone with it stuck in her hijab! When I drew up alongside her and gave her a few hand signals, she was totally puzzled as to what I was going on about. How ignorant are some people!!! :fume:
I don't give a flying rat's fart what religion anyone is, nor their colour, but DO NOT speak on your freaking phone whilst driving! Technically, yes it was hands free, but....what if it fell from it's precarious position? Must be just as illegal as holding the bloody thing! And I KNOW by the way she was waving her hands around that she was having a pretty intense conversation, which means she WAS distracted from her driving.
Plus, if you really, really cannot survive without talking on the phone for the time you are driving.....buy a f*cking proper hands free system. She was driving a bloody 08 car, so surely she could afford hands free!
    Rant over :p
