got the kit from venhill. was supposed to be for yamaha. had honda/yamaha on the package. the fun i had trying to get to the throttle bodies. they are right under the frame. ended up having to take off the tank and the air filter and the bit below that to gain access. fitted the cable but i think they are too long so need to try and shorten them again. its taken an absolute age well 2 days to get this far after i listened to someone who said to reroute the oe ones. oh well it will be worth it in the end. does anyone know where i can get some cheap blanking plates for the mirrors from as i need to take them off as the fairing needs to be raised to allow the brake bleed nipple to pass under the screen or if there is any way i can extend the bolts on the mirrors. they are a sealed unit and cant get to the top of the bolt. is there something around that will extend the length bu about 15mm?

You can buy long hexagon nuts from screwfix or another fastener supplier and just screw a bolt into them, but they will be the same width as a normal nut. Or you could tap a piece of 8mm alloy tube. Dunno how to extend the studs apart from welding though, unless those studs will unscrew from the bracket?

Got the long hexagon nuts and some metal thread to go with it. Glad to say I have finally finished and gonna be taking the bike on its first test run in the morning to work. Hope everything works ok. Gonna take my tool kit just in case. Thanks Alan for all your advice/input
