    just gauging interest ....
meet at Oakdene Cafe around 8.30 if you want a brekkie to start or 9.30 for a 9.45-10am depart
heading down towards hastings / Rye then across country to folkstone up towards canterbury and back towards maidstone.

Pace...easy going (and i do mean easy ) been a while since ive ridden without ripping the arse out of the bike at any given opportunity.
Stops will be applied for a cuppa at rye and maybe an afternoon refreshment at a public house if required.
for those who have been thinking of bringing a partner but have always thought twice due to pace ....nows the time
Anyone looking to get out and stretch the bikes legs ...have a nice day this will not be for you.

this has also been posted on another forum so an oppertunity to meet other riders

Me neither. Good idea though if the originator posted what sort of pace the ride is to be, like berserk (as if), brisk, commute or pillion/learner friendly.

I think Les meant we should implement it as a matter of course _Yappa_. :)

What I`ll do is I`ll sort out some thread prefixes (Like we have in the classifieds) when I`m home tonight so it`ll be easier for thread posters to add them in & also for members to see the pace type when reading.

I'm very interested (if I get my bike back from MoT / service today or tomorrow). I know I have a heap of work and other admin things, but if I can work out where is the Oakdene, then I'll either meet you there or join in part way towards Hastings/Rye. Maybe Northiam is a good bet!

OK. I've found the Oakdene - at least on a map. Whether I can find it in real life is another matter :)

wouldnt try to Al ....its gonna be a million miles from that sorta ride ....nice and sedate , take in the scenery ( keeping a close eye on the road of course ) id say it will almost verge on the mundane for most people but i thought it would make a change from tearing around like our arses are on fire.

I have my bike back, freshly MoT'd and serviced! Well done Fast Lane (again), considering they had wall-to-wall bikes from drop-ins wanting to go on the May Day Run. Definitely need to get out now... :bike::D:D

A few of us might be heading up to Essex for lunch. If you are going to be in the Oakdene then could meet up for coffee? But it won't be as early as 9.30. More like 10.30. Will keep an eye on the post and see if you will still be around then. :)

If all works out as Carnage suggests, we'll be long gone by 10:30. I've met one of the Essex natives; he seems friendly and I didn't get eaten by his cat (not a lion). Are there roads in Essex? Rideable on a bike? Sounds like a super Mark II plan.
