i have been playing around with the idea of destination rides for the odd day out. rather than everyone meeting at one point and traveling in a large group to where ever they decide smaller groups of local people can meet up and travel to a central place for lunch, chat etc. Just putting this out there to see who would be interested and for some ideas of places to go.

I'm hoping it might get a few more people out. and mean that there is less travelling to get to a start point for a rideout that may take you even further away from home.

Ashford diner on the 12 of may is my first place.

Good idea BH, I always have to travel out too somewhere, living right on the end bit out here, then it's usually out a bit more until I've done nearly a couple of hundred miles! Just to get the Brighton is 90 miles one way for me.
What time today will you be there? If weather stays overcast and not peeing down, will try and make it!

We should be there for one. The rain isn't due till 4. Hopefully enough time to get home.

Will look for your bike, what is it! Mines a Red Bird, if with the Mrs, will have top-box with Patyogi on back, on my own I try and keep my street cred and keep it neat!

I like the idea in theory, but fear I might never find everyone else! Still, if I rode around for a bit, I might spot a familiar bike to follow! Of course that technique might result in some surprising final destinations, especially if I'm not actually following the person I expected. @Stalker...

you need to see if anyone from your area with a better sense of direction is going and then try very hard not to lose them :giggle:

I am sure someone could include somewhere you could find in order that you can join in en route and therefore (in theory) not get lost :D ;). That is of course, also supposing, that the person you are following in fact knows where they are going

Dependent on where the destination is, I could scoop you up en route - no trouble. :)

A28 just off 9 or 10 exit on the M20. Turn off here and follow A28 towards Canterbury, it's bout 1/2 mile from the motorway. Opposite the Holiday Inn on the left, Cemetery Rd. We'll be there bout 12:30ish
