i'm toying with the idea but not keen on the fact it's the man who is trying to take the may day run over behind it. Might give it a test though and see what it's like.

Quite Interesting to see some nice bikes and catch up with a few peeps ive not seen in ages.. Rode to Hastings with Leila and Tom, in a big group maybe 100 ish bikes, think the 3 of us nearly fell asleep :sleep::sleep:....

Was just nice to get out for a ride in the evening and it was still light till 8:30 ish, :blind:..

If i go again i think we'll do our own route and just meet at the start and finish points. If we give the main group a head start and take a longer twisty route,, reckon we'll get to Hastings just in time to see them all arrive. :D

Was fun to get out, a lovely evening for biking! Nice to have a butcher's at a range of bikes. But yes, next time it'll definitely be our own route into Hastings! :D

Many coastal towns of similar size and demographic to Hastings are chasing the Hen, Stag and Pink pounds. We are nurturing the Round Pound, or DMM, Discerning Motorcycle Money. (Howard Martin, November 2010)

yep we know he is after lining his own pocket. Which i don't mind if it's well put on but yesterday was not as described. Lots of stalls = two one selling your picture at alot of money think more than at a track day. the other was track days with MSV. Hardly all things motorbikes but i thought i'd give it a try.

More events like this can only be a good thing, but they need to be properly organised and not miss sold...doesn't help that it is being run by a tit who is only doing it for his own benefit either!

A few quotes from Hastings Bikenights FB page..... :rofl2:
There are plenty of positive comments too, but these are funny. Ther's certainly a lot of politics going on.

I enjoyed the night as it was a nice evening for a spin with friends. May defo go again just for the comedy. I dont know the man myself so remain open minded, but i take on board the comments re H.Martin utilising the May Day event for personal gain.

What a load of crap. Expensive tasteless burgers at route 1066. Nothing to do at the stade except pay £1.60 for a cup tea. So we ended up at the Carlisle Paradise and and was greeted by a menu of what they are doing. And notice the unlimited tea and coffee for ONLY £1.00
    Bikenites???? What a load shite.

The real sad thing is that loads of the bikes there were only there in protest of Howard's idiotic comment about old school wants throwing in the bin along with what he called rat bikers.... Mr Martin you are a knob as this has proved tonight by the lack if people with knee sliders and such as you was aiming at attracting.

Yeah the FB stuff has made interesting reading :D. I like the fact that may get to catch up with a few friendly faces and check out some bikes. As for the actual ride there - would rather have a blat then head down and have a wander round the car park. As long as he doesn't try to charge to enter the Stade area then it could be a fun way to catch up socially and/or meet a few bikers whilst ignoring all his PR crap :)

I did think he looked a bit nervous last night. Now i know why. :hah:
