Totally 100% original and mint. Only addition is an ART race can. Dyno print for 118bhp at the rear wheel so quite a healthy bike.

Never ridden one, so have no idea what I am in for. Apparantly quite twitchy with the 16" front wheel so something I will have to adjust to. Hence Saturday (and Sunday) I will be riding like miss daisy.

There is so much history with my bike, excellent to see it so well maintained.

Looking forward to getting it on Friday.

Just got to sell my fzr600 now as I don't have the garage room and I need to recoup some readies!!

Hopefully I will get on with it as I have done a bit of research on the 918 and there is a lot of praise for the bike.

Registered on a fireblade forum and Megawatt was there to welcome me!!!!

Got the 96 RRT again with the 16" front wheel.....definitely would not say it's twitchy!!!!! It will feel like it turns into corners slightly quicker that you are used to that's all. Won't take long to get used to it I am sure.

What Steve said. Never noticed any twitchiness with my RRW 16" front. Got loads of 918 parts if you need anything?

i had one of these pre my r1, well it was the rrw98 in truth. i absolutely loved it. it felt planted as it was quite heavy and with me on top it was a darn sight heavier. i remember getting 155 down the m23 with me practically lying on the tank. it was sooooo much fun. i loved the colour scheme too it was the burnt orange and dark grey. hope you get on with it.

And better brakes as well which I REALLY need now.

    And here it is:
Got back, went to the bank to get some money to then meet Phil (Read) in Canterbury and it started hammering it down so I turned round and had to spend 20 minutes clearing a space in the garage.
I now officially cannot move in there so the FZR HAS TO GO!!!
So, initial impressions. I need to move the rear brake lever up a little to suit me and roll the indicator pod round a bit as the switches are just a little too far down to make it second nature. I have to look to the switch so that needs sorting.
    So performance.......................................

    OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This has clearly been fettled. The throttle is so quick acting. I sneezed (hayfever) and my hand slipped the throttle round in second gear and the bike went crazy
The turn in and response is so TZR like it is unreal. It looks big but it hides the size well in its riding manners and feels quite light. The brakes are very sharp but I know this will not be something I get used to very fast handling wise. Nice gearbox as well. This weekend will be all about learning what a proper old school fireblade is all about. I have much to learn.

Make space, it is a very slim bike, my garage is small and cluttered, bet it would fit yours a treat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It really is a great price. Goes alright, sounds alright, rides nice. I would genuinely keep it if I could but I want to have access to the TZR whenever possible without having to shuffle stuff around a lot.

Sure it is 21 years old but it isn't all hacked about like some I have seen. I have done the essentials and A2 motorcycles in Gravesend checked it over as I was going to PX it and they declared it mechanically good. No seized bolts or screws etc.

YAY, it has stopped raining but BOOOOOO, I have drunk beer as I am making several curries as I have the lads coming round tonight so even though it is dry enough to ride :sun2: I am not going to even think about it

So, make do with pics instead as I just dusted down my dslr and fired off a few over exposed pics!!!

I love the holes in the fairing, make sit look cool somehow. Old blades are great!
