Just wondered what peoples solutions were of riding in rain and not seeing where the hell you are going.

The water just does not seem to clear off the visor, and once I wipe it just smears, is there anything you can spray on the visor to help disperse the water, or are some helmets / visors better than others as in shape to help the water drive off at speed etc.

I turn my head one way and the water on half the visor clears...Then turn my head the other and the other half clears....Wind makes a good squeegee...

If on a motorway or dual carriage way with reasonable visibility the faster you go it will get blown, forced from the visor. Obviousley not talking silly speed but if conditions allow try variating speed to see how it affects the water run off.

Or try that stuff Ducky shines his Porsche with :D

I ride with my visor up at lower speeds and only flick it down when fast enough for the water to 'disperse' as Kev says.

I clean my visor each day with a simple 'quick detailer' spray-on wax, seems to help shed the water while riding (I use the look left/right trick too).

Mr Sheen (other spray polishes are available so my wife tells me ;)) and then look left/right and the water will run off.

Fairy washing up liquid used o clean the visor before a trip helps, it also reduces foggy up on the inside
