and for those who do not, :(

Part exed my Street for a K1300R

Going to miss the Street I am sure sometimes, but for various reasons I felt this might suit my overall needs and around riding I want to partake in.

In comparison to the STR yes, but weight is lower down so the difference is not as bad as you think it would be, I found the STR a little top heavy for what it was.

Parked next to one on the ferry yesterday, looked bloody luvvery. Asked him about reliability issues that have been reported with electrics, He said all was okay except the high beam switch was hit or miss. WTF.
Yeah okay, so the issue's have gone away?

They had switchgear failures pre 2012. BMW denied it, as so many owners have reported it across the various forums. They share switchgear with other models...and despite denying anything wrong, they have oddly switched suppliers manufacturing their switchgear.
3 Switchgears in 3 years for me, and I don't ride in the rain, so wtf ?
The dealer gas been good. Shared out if warranty replacement for last switchgear with anither 2 year warranty.
Other than that, hasn't skipped a beat. ...touch wood.

Get a Bird, s'old and beautiful, like me but gets us there n back luvverly, and it's comfortable. A lorry driver spoke to us on the ferry yesterday and said we passed him nr. Dunkerque at a brisk pace. He said Rita's head was rocking side to side, she said it was her mp3 she was listening to, later she admitted she had fallen asleep.
Is this a reflection on my riding? (Boring old fart/bloody skilled rider)?
Love the ferries, you get to talk to alsorts, the driver owned a Kwacka 1400, Bikers are in all disguises.

Maybe we secretly ride bikes that match our personalities. Mines tall, lumpy & minimalist. Smeg's is low:thumbsup: (but then its also smooth & quiet:eek:).
