Clothing Nazis

I've been sharing this around a bit. Will soon be upsetting my esteemed colleagues on the FJ/FJR forum!

 

Remember ths was supposed to be based around a short casual hop to the shops in sweltering conditions, not a full rideout or blat.

If thus was the case one should be chastising men, women and children on bicycles. God knows I've eaten more dirt, gravel and tarmac on my bmx / mountain bike than I have on my motorbike. Suddenly because it as an engine we are devoid of any brain cells if we choose to ride without all the gear all the time.

Trust me I have hit over 50mph on my mountain bike downhill in shrts n t-shirt and I'm sure the road warriors clad in Lycra can push 30mph easily on a flat.

As for track days being safer, please ride the public roads at the speed you do on track and tell me the road is safer.

But anyhow...ya make a choices

I'm feeling some have missed the point completely imo.

Good feedback generally regardless of individual positions, although i wish people here and on the many other forums would actually re-read the origional post before comenting.

 

BUT, don't 90% of all accidents actually happen with in a few miles of home?
