There's a few people heading to Rye from Lewes tomorrow around lunchtime. Depending on weather, may head to Lewes to meet them and then head back towards Rye.
If anyone fancies getting out let me know and we could maybe arrange a route and pick up points.

I think the other lot are leaving Pease Pottage at 11am, guessing Lewes, Tescos by recycling bins at around 11.30ish. Then apparently they are heading to Rye. I will probably head to Lewes too, picking up Tom en route.

Looks like the route will be Lewes, Ringmer etc back to Battle and then on to the 1066 for some and probably Hawkhurst Fish Farm for others.

Interesting day today!!! Good ride to Lewes, MTS gang eventually turned up from Crawley and a good ride back to 1066. Had a good lunch and a chat and then a friend of Dawn's , Tim, on a lovely CBR600RR Hannspree replica, gave it a bit too much throttle as he left the carpark and binned it. Unfortunately he also damaged his shoulder and maybe his ribs. Leila did a great job holding Tim's hand and making him laugh, one of the MTS guy's is a paramedic, so took charge,Tom directed traffic and I talked to the ambulance service and the police while Dawn talked to tim's wife. Tim now comfy at the Conquest after a visit from family, Leila and Tom and his bike is also comfy awaiting delivery to Ashford. what a great team we have at SECB and MTS!!!

Was a fun ride and great to catch up with people not seen for a while. A few too many cars on the road today but we still arrived at the café with grins on our faces!
Impressed by how well everyone pulls together when there is an incident (having a paramedic amongst us was defo a bonus though, lol).

Damn that is unfortunate. I sort of know Tim and hope he isn't too badly hurt. Seen his bike and it is indeed a great looking thing, hope the damage to it is not bad. Bikes can fixed and all that. I do hate this weather as it is so damn easy to give it a little bit too much and lowside it.

Saw him briefly in hospital. Was still waiting for an x-ray on his shoulder but otherwise he was fine. Bike isn't too bad either. His wife had arrived so hopefully he has been allowed to go home tonight. :)

A few marks on tank can be polished out. Right hand side of fairing, tail unit and ignition cover can be polished and painted. Two new indicators and it's sorted. Crash bungs would have helped. If I get a phone call tomorrow I can drop bike off in Ashford.

I sent Dawn a text to see how he had got on. She says it is a busted collar bone and he is going home this eve.

Crash bungs are just such a necessity given how much new plastic can cost. Then you get in to specialist paint jobs. But it all comes back to bikes can be fixed......................

Wow! sounds like a lot of excitement, best wishes to Tim, can't of been a a nice experience. As everyone has said at least you'll mend and the bike can always be fixed.
It's a law of averages that a Bike will go down somewhere, but considering the amount of riding we all do, we must all be fairly decent riders. Lets hope our luck is fully topped up for 2014. Again get well soon, Bona lot, these SEC bods.
