Ah yeah, it's another bike forum, Facebook only, that we sometimes hook up with for rideouts. Some of their members are members on here (and vice versa) and on our SEC Facebook page :)

We popped down to Hastings at lunchtime today and paid Tim a visit, he's in good spirits (still had his leather bike jeans on in bed complete with knee sliders) he said he has a bit of blood on his lung, and might have to have an operation on his collarbone. Cheers everyone

    Thanks for the update.
he just came down weirdly so it was such low speed. Glad he is on the mend just a shame he has to be stuck in hospital for a few days.

Sounds painful, hope he has a quiet and good night.
A lot of slow slides or drops seem to result in broken collarbones, is there no protection against that sort of damage.
I suppose instinctively, you put your arm and shoulder rigid against the fall.

Unbelievable that he has had quite nasty injuries from such a low speed accident. Must have landed incredibly awkwardly :(

He came down pretty hard on his right side. Bike fish tailed and then chucked him off so guess almost a highside. Poor Tim.

yer the damage to the bike was all to the top of it's nose cone so must have bitten them flipped up so while a slow speed one it might have sent him pretty high before dumping him onto solid tarmac.
