I've agreed to buy a hard tail frame with a GPZ900 engine and the front end from a Kawasaki 1100 (I forget which one)
It's intact but tatty, I'm planning to strip it down in my dining room and rebuild it as a bobber with a single seat and some straight bars, my plans are a bit vague at the moment. I'm going to have a look at it when it arrives and just go with what feels right to me at the time.
I get the feeling that this forum is more about riding than building - but would anybody be interested if I started a blog about it in the gallery?
I've never done this sort of thing before so it's not going to be like watching Orange County Choppers, more like Fred Dibnah!

@Lightweight Knock yourself out matey! Maybe seeing you do yours might coax some others into having a go. I know @Carnage has done some stuff like this as well as a few others.

I will not be able to tear myself away from the ongoing saga. I'd love to do something like this and just lack time and funds at the moment, but I have plans... Boy, do I have plans.

    Blimey, no pressure!
Step 1 is to get rid of the dining room table and chairs - I'm assuming nobody needs a photo of that?
Step 2 is to protect the floor in there...
I should point out that, at the moment - I can't weld and I've never taken an engine apart before, should be a steep learning curve...!
