So this weekend sees the start of the club race season, kicking off with the Thundersport round at Brands Hatch. :disco:

Planning to head up either Sat or Sun (tbc) as I can't wait to catch up with people and get a racing fix in! Take a cross country route, stop for brekkies somewhere and then go see what's up :D.

For those of those going over the weekend here are copies of the timetables for both days:

Could always drive up and then just come and enjoy the racing :). Not the same I know but at least you won't damage your neck more!

Oooh yeah. Well, I think so. Plan is to head up around 10.30ish I reckon, stop at Oakdean for brekkies on the way maybe (Redrock said that now it's under new ownership it's much improved). I believe Tom has errands to run first thing so will make tentative meet for 10.30 in Battle (have a quick coffee) and then go from there (head cross-country via Yalding and 7-mile lane). I will re-post in the morning if the setting off time changes.

I'll be at Oakdene. Should you wander this way. Then I'll try brands.

Sorry we missed you @Tomasbe - we decided to keep on going rather than stop! Not a bad little ride up although as usual, those gusts of wind make for interesting road placement .

Good company, catch up with just a few old paddock friends and a cracking day's racing. So happy that the season has started again :disco:

Soz...was nearly there but went out with a mate trying to put some mileage on his new bike for his first service...250 miles all in...Cracking ride....Oakdene, Bexhill, Loomies Oakdene with a few places in-between...See you all soon though as the weather has definitely turned for the better.

I wouldn't have thought it'll be long before Jimbo starts his Wednesday night runs at this rate ..:rubhands:

No Neil, it won't be, can't wait. Maybe start when the clocks go forward.

Had a nice little blat of about 100 miles myself today and had a great time. Gave the bike a service and finished putting on the fairing so thought it would be a waste of a beautiful day. Sod the decorating. Bike was running sweet so I didn't c*ck anything up presumably.

Roads were a bit wet and muddy in places so a couple of "interesting" moments .
And the state of the western end of the A264 is appalling so beware.

Not to worry @lammyR6 & @BlackHornet. Saturday spin was just a spur of the moment. The 'new' bike still needs some setting up/work on it. And I need LOADS to learn. Different bike- completely new ball game .
Oakdene cafe may be under new management but coffee was absolutely awful, although egg&bacon roll quite good. Was pulling in to Brands Hatch when missus called.... Killjoy!:cautious:
    Till next time.
