I have contemplated orange flashing lights for filtering (like double flash LED hazards), be seen without being illegal (?) - But I expect there'll be some law it'd contravene!

Don`t know about law but the question of filtering with hazards on came up on my Bike Safe & we was told not to.

I can`t recall if they did give an answer or if I just can`t remember it. I know what your saying about abroad but also in some countries (France I believe is one) you are supposed to keep your left indicator on until you return to your own lane & have fully completed the overtake. Doing that over here would just confuse ppl.

Just checked the highway code & it says this

So the answer is NO as its technically illegal.
