yes its the shoulder and sports bikes need to go
to have so much pain after a shortage ride thats affected my abilty to work and sleep really begs the question do i want to
ive tried criusers speedmaster and thunderbird before. sit up bikes tiger 1050, sprint, street triple and to be honest i dont get the wow factor maybe the tiger was the best of them.
ive decided not to throw any more money at bikes untill i can enjoy the ride. going to reconvert my z650 old school sit up and beg over the winter and take it from there.
thanks for all your thoughts and suggestions.

I totally understand where you are coming from Lost. Once you've had a decent sports bike, nothing comes close to the fun they are and the adrenaline rush and pure thrill of riding one. Riding other bikes leaves me totally flat. I hope, one day soon, you do find something that will go at least halfway - maybe even find a sports bike you can adapt to a street fighter and raise the bars... Take care of your shoulder. :hug2:

Sod's Law has been in action. I have had my eye on a replacement bike for some time but I didn't want to start the buying process until I had the money in the bank. I thought I might be able to haggle as the bike had been for sale for a couple of months. Today the cheques from the insurance and salvage cleared so I was on the 'phone as soon as I was sure the money was there.
    The bike was sold. Typical!

Don't worry I have missed three bikes so far by dithering but I see it as there are a lot of summer only riders who will soon be selling bikes cheaper than ever. new reg plate, end of their riding season should all add up to a bargain somewhere

The young tw@t who lives somewhere round the corner from my house, who rides a quad bike as fast as he can over the speed bumps on my road. He doesn't wear a helmet so hopefully I won't hear a crash-bang-wallop & see his brain cell on the floor for all to see

Got back from holiday thinking battery was dead, Lee at MotoWorks has taken her in for a look - turns out I've burnt out the Rectifier and Generator :cry::cry2:
Gonna cost a bomb and no bike for another 3 weeks or so.
Typical as the warranty ran out last month as well :bhead::bhead::bhead::bhead::bhead:

Thats a pain in the arse. still it could have been worse could have been the middle of summer when three weeks without a bike feels like three months.

That's bad news. How lucky it didn't happen while we were so far from home earlier this year, although the warranty would have still been good. At least you'll know those new parts will be good for a long time now.

Is it on the VFR800 in your avatar? If so, it might be worth approaching Honda seeing as it's only just out of warrantee.

it's now the season of Slow Drivers.
I took an hour to cover 25 miles last night getting home and all because it is a little bit wet and dark meaning 50% of the road users now think 30mph or less is acceptable in national zones. Not to mention they must brake hard every time a car comes towards them or a corner comes into sight :fume::fume::fume::fume:

If you can't drive at night don't fucking go out after dark.:mad:

I find it hard to believe that there`s so many ppl who struggle to drive in the dark considering that for about 4 months of the year, at least 1 of the "rush hour" journeys are going to be in darkness.

We need to remember there are so many old people driving these days, and As I have got older, I have to admit it is a lot harder driving in the dark than when I was young, it is shadows, and dark areas are just pure black, where as in my youth you could see outlines in shadows and pure black.
Sad news it is going to get a lot worse, until they make it compulsory to have eye tests for driving over a certain age, it is must tbh

Not sure about the eye test bit, I think a compulsory driving test is the way to go. Once you loose the ability to drive you should be taken off the road:npoint::noway:
