Don't Forget Guy Martin/david Caulthard Special Tonight

    For those that are interested Speed with Guy Martin F1 special is on tonight racing his tyco bmw against David Coulthard and a red bull f1
    Channel 4 at 9pm

    A little disappointed tbh, though enjoyable, but as some others have pointed out to use a more powerful bike 220 is only about 20 more than the road version, thought the Slalom was a bit pointless, they should have measured distance covered or something as well, the car was so impressive going through there, where as more of a straight line for the bike. Would have been good to get an idea of real corner speed difference as well with a set distance around a corner and see how fast the car does over bike etc. Breaking distance was scary to watch the bike, those last 10 metres looks like it was never going to stop :(

    Yeah but I think we all knew the car would have the upper hand. Some tests were closer than I expected. Still a good watch.

    I thought it was a great watch. Guy makes me laugh. And David Coulthard's comment, along the lines of "With those mad eyes would I lie to you?" was a classic!

    It was blatantly geared towards F1 as Channel 4's coverage of it started this weekend - however was an enjoyable watch - agree if you had a MotoGp bike there probably would have been closer - particularly with the braking!
