Cracking day. Fab weather :sun1:, some great roads :bike:, lovely scenery and excellent company. Thanks @JimBo for the route and for leading us all over the countryside - was definitely worth getting up early for . Sorry @Tomasbe that we led you astray to Hawkhurst!

Good to see everyone today, a good turnout for an "early" one. And I didn't lose anyone, you all lost John and I. ;)
See Tomas, I told you they'd lead you astray! I hope you found your way home OK.

I could've come to the Fish Farm in the end as my social secretary had re-arranged my afternoon appointments. I think I'll have to trade her in for a new model. Or is that Model?

Thanks to all who made it and here's to the next one.

Loveley day, great ride out of over 160m. Two man drop off works provided all parties aiming for same destination. Sorry @JimBo & @JohnA if you were waiting for me but was not aware of 'southern crew' splitting off somewhere south. Ended up in fish farm but saw no fish. Thanks guys .

Good day made all the better by some great company, roads and weather. Even the car that tried to wipe me out didn't dampen the day. Thanks Jimbo for leading - a nice taster for the evening rides to come :D

Decided to do a real "early" one today. Left my house at 6 o'clock ( that's a.m. , there is one you know ). Did 110 miles on empty roads, bliss.
Mind you, the wildlife was rampant, bunnies, deer, pheasants and pigeons so it was, how shall I put this, interesting at times!

On with the bathroom re-furbishment now :(.

Bunnies, deer, p(h)easants etc are just one reason it is better to be riding with someone else (just in case)
    6:00 is early indeed though..

    Yeah, but I don't think I would've had many takers at 6 o'clock!
Like life in general you have to balance risk and benefit.
The benefits outweighed the risks here.

    Hey Jimbo
I'd have made the 06:00 ride ... If my bike wasn't in bits that is!

I sent my forks off to Maxton eight weeks ago now to get them re chromed and they're STILL not ready yet. Annoyed is an understatement. Hopefully I'll get them back and the bike put together soon so I can join you on your stonking rides again.

It will be good to see you again Steve, it's been a while!
Depending on work load today I may post up for tomorrow evening.
Keep an eye on the rideouts section.

Chased up Maxton for the 2nd time yesterday and the forks are finally being sent back to me ... WOO HOO!!!!

Then all I have to do is put the bike back together and get an MOT

.... Oh ... And then it will need cleaning.
