What Made Me Smile today ...........................????

Base for new workshop is complete. Ready to sit back in garden chairs and watch men working hard to erect the new building tomorrow. There should be enough room for my bike to live in luxury from now on!

 

I heard a rumour that the weekend is meant to be kind of dry... dreaming of going for a ride and listening to my new pipes

 

I've been on nights and got up about 3pm. I was sitting there with a cuppa and started watching a great yarn on BBC2 (lets face it, there's an awful lot of crap on the box) and wondered if anyone else caught it or has seen it in the past. Anthony Hopkins as as Burt Munro in an Indian Scout breaking a land speed record in 1967 on the Bonneville Flats. The film was called 'The World's Fastest Indian' and came out in 2005. I think its' worth a punt on catch up telly if you haven't seen it.

 

Well, I got soaked after I had the front brake pads changed this afternoon and the sun is shinning so is it worth air drying my kit with another run out this evening? I need it tomorrow evening for a gentle bimble into deepest Essex with friends.

 

Loading up my bike with stuff for A trip to Assen this weekend for the Moto gp even managed to blag A couple of days off skool

 

Yes. We are packed and ready, too. Passports, money, tickets, dog sitter at the ready. Assen, here we come!

 

Thanks. I am determined to make it all the way home and in one piece this time

 

Found out today that my new bike will be ready to pick up next Thursday

Back from Assen with both me and the bike in one piece. Great fun and only a little bit damp round the edges. Can't wait to go again!

 

OK so the weather's bizarre this year. Too much rain at the weekends when I've ordered sunshine so I get out to play when I can. Shame I missed the Seaford bash because was working but today I got down to Wessons and had a lovely ride out in the sunshine before getting soaked in the last 5 minutes going home. I hope to hook up with you sometime soon Lisa lou. Does anyone ever come out during the week?
