For those of you who dont do the social media thing this may be a bit long winded...

I will not bore you all with the details (happy to if you really want to know though) but this year we should have been celebrating the 21st birthday of daughter number 2 but sadly things didnt work out as we had hoped all those years ago when she was born. So, to try make things memorable this year I came up with the idea of doing something for charity that can involve everyone. As some of you will know daughter number 1 now runs a pub in Woodchurch who I approached about having a day where there could be music, stalls, old school fete type things etc in the hope that she would get on board with the idea and on the day itself raise a few quid for SANDS but also providing something that people can come along with their families, donate, eat, drink and have a bit of a giggle. Daughter number 1 got hold of my simple idea and along with her bar manager have taken the whole thing beyond my expectations. There will be more formal notices coming out soon but we are looking at live music starting at 1pm and running right through to 11.30pm in one form or another. There will be a huge kids inflatable assault course, maybe a bouncy castle, Hog roast, raffle, cake stall (you know who I will be asking to help for this) and loads more. I will be on the scrounge for some bits and pieces pretty soon and hopefully some of you may be able to help. If you cannot help and can make the journey (Woodchurch is ten minutes away from Tenterden) please come along if you can on the day as we would love to see you. I would like as people as possible turn up through out the day and all donations of any size will be welcome.

The date is set for the Saturday 27th July. Please put it in your diary and will post up more information and pleas for help in due course.

    Thanks all!

It sounds like a fantastic event. Sadly, despite doing much less this year, that is one of my race weekends.
Hope to see lots of great pics!
