Due to getting the 'bleep bleep' warning light up again I am thinking of buying an OBD II reader tool & software from 'Dealertool' on ebay. Pretty much cost about the same as two visits to a dealer just to plug in and reset.
ANY THOUGHTS on this from my buddies here would be gratefully accepted as I need to get onto this ASAP.:think1:

just check to see how much they charge for upgrades etc as this could be more than the kit itself and if it's already out of date on there then you could spend alot

Can't see as upgrades would be an issue, unless I bought a brand new bike that used a different set of codes. But if I could afford to do that, I could afford to run it into the dealers to get it checked. When I get home again I will try the bike again as I had just washed it prior to the light coming on. Although I think it may be the same thing again as last time with the temperature sensor being hit by the fairing. Considering the amount of force put on the bike at the bottom of Paddock Hill bend on Monday.

Seems an odd expense, given you know the reason the bike is displaying the fault.
Surely better to eliminate the problem and be done with it, most riders never need to buy a very specialised diagnostic tool.

Have you checked out TuneECU? It's a free diagnostics program that the 675ers use. Not sure if it covers your particular Daytona.

I've got an OBD2 reader I use in conjunction with my phone, doesn't connect to everything but if you're passing by sometime you're welcome to connect it and see if it works.

Upon closer inspection this morning, it appears that my fairing has moved again and is now sitting higher than it was. Could this indeed be down to the rather serious forces exerted on the bike at the bottom of paddock on Monday. :hairout:
