I was recently asked if I would take a Pillion on Track (I would ;) ), this got me thinking are there any 2 up track day Organisers out there?
Would you be happy to take a Pillion on track?

Depends what you mean by 'on track' and how you ride on the track yourself I think. I'd certainly take a pillion on track, for the experience but definately wouldn't entertain riding with any real purpose with them.

Once upon a time I used to do all manner of sillyness with a pillion (kind of required for 2 up kneedowns and dual stand ups) but on a track is a different deal entirely, I'd take them, spirited but not serious.

I agree with both Skortchio and BB - while I'd happily carry a pillion for a pacy couple of laps on a track, I wouldn't really push the limits (although admittedly, maybe somewhat more than I would do on the road). If the pillion doesn't ride a bike, it's a good way of sharing the sensations that we take for granted... and may even help to convince them to get into biking themselves.

However (like BlackHornet) I really can't stand being a pillion, so wouldn't hop on the back of a bike at a track day (unless it was for lift down to the paddock!).

I wouldn't take a pillion on the track as I very rarely take pillions on the road, let alone the track. (I still have nightmares after BH tried to jump on the back of the 'busa, literally).

I would, however, be quite happy being a pillion on the track. Actually sounds like a lot of fun!

I met a Guy at the Ring last year who gives Pillion rides on track at Race events. He said that with this grab rail he can ride as he wants without fear of losing the Pillion off the Back ;)

When I saw the thread title I thought of a sort of mile high club for bikers. Is it just me?:(

When I was at the Ron Haslam race school I got talking to a guy who was about to get a pillion ride (3 laps i think) with Ron Haslam and had paid £80 for the experience. Horses for courses I suppose...

I'd have a go at both, although I've never heard of a track day where you can take pillions?
