 The guy appears to be sincerely apologetic but i wonder where his 'new' morality came from. He says '' I quit when I felt the risk exceeded the reward.'' which is usually the logical tipping point when involved in such activity, but born from a sense of self preservation more than remorse in this case possibly.

Whats interesting to me is ive worked with kids and young adults involved in similar stuff and on the 1 hand i'm being professional and exploring the issues and on the other hand i'm thinking if that was my/family/mates/ stuff your nicking i would be listening to your apologies while you were spitting your teeth on the floor. :)

Im not advocating aggression 'generally' as its the neanderthal and often ignorant approach, but occasionally and with good reason...... :tbomb:

Yeah i do think he is genuinely sorry for what he has done, its strange to think that he is a well educated person, been to college and all that just shows how influenced you can be by one 'friend' that can change your life. Defiantly made me want think about security though, think i may buy a decent disk lock or something.

Think eventually i will get my self one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Xena-XX14-Disk-Lock-Alarm/dp/B003DXCHAM they look pretty big and as the guy talks about with a chain its easy to get bolt cutters on them but i assume it will be harder and the fact it will alarm when moved might put people off a bit more. Heres an example of it being used

don't forget most decent chains and locks now are made to be resistant to chaincutters so guys like this one would be taking 30+ mins and a lot of noise to get them off. But also most scummy wankers like him are only going to go after bikes that have small amount of security were most new bikes now have immobilsers and ECU killers which only deactivate with the chipped key.
