    Hi all
sorry that I have not been online for months but allot has happened here.
In August I was riding my ZZR1400 down the M2 with no other traffic present and was shocked to see that my speed had crept up to a scary level without me noticing. It was at this point that I realized that this wonderful bike was going to loose me my license. Being a surveyor by trade, my license is critical and sadly I realized that the ZZR had to go.
After many test rides of different bikes I finally fell in love with a VN900 and late last year I took ownership of this wonderful baby.

She is a wonderful bike, easy to handle and she just encourages calm gentle riding
I have had to change my bright green racing leathers for more conservative and confortable black leathers.

Hope to catch up with you all soon

I like the vn's hope you enjoy it, a lot of people change to a cruiser for the same reason as you.

welcome back. I can't believed you struggled keeping the zzr at the speed limit :lol2:
i can't blame you for switching no point having a bike and not being able to use more than a quarter of it.

don't get me wrong, the ZZR was a really gentle giant, I just could not feel the speed on it.
I have ridden a few sports bikes that want to be thrashed and egg you on but she didn't. Shame but I do feel more at home on the VN

Thanks Kitten, I really love this bike
I'm saving for a new set of pipes as we speak as the standard ones are way too quiet.
Did your pipes make allot of difference?

Didn't hear it before she changed them but they're certainly LOUD NOW! Almost couldn't hear my little 650 beside hers.

Made a SH*T load of difference!!!!
People dive out the way, little children burst into tears. Windows rattle.....get the picture?
And going through a tunnel is an experience to behold!
Or did you mean performance wise? Not particularly is the answer to that one. Get Vance & Hines (but not same as mine otherwise I may have to kill you!:p) then you ignore what they say about needing a power commander because you really don't. And they are so easy to fit to the bike too!
ps.....the short shots would be pretty damn smart you know!!! ;)
pps...welcome to the REAL darkside by the way ;)

As long as you are ONLY changing the pipes & the new ones have a sensor port, you just transfer the lambda sensor from the old pipes to the new ones & that`s it. If you add an air filter mod I would highly suggest then getting a Power Commander.

Actually, when the pipes arrive in a very impressive box....it will have mentioned on it somewhere "power commander required" at this point you panic and think you have forgotten something and immediately phone metricruisers and get reassured that you don't infact need one at th £400 odd they retail at........or at least, I did! :giggle:

Thats exactly what I did with my pipes from them too! I must admit I`m thinking of an air filter upgrade & PC for mine but unfortunately house maintenance has to come first.
