Relaxed Rideout Sunday 5th May . 1066 at 1000 hrs, Heading east

Meeting at 1066 at 1000, leaving at 1100. Heading east to Clifftop cafe, Folkestone. Pace will be relaxed and progressive if enough interested for two groups.

 

I like the Clifftop cafe and I know where the 1066 is. I therefore feel competent to participate. Mind you, I will only recognise bits of scenery as they whizz by. I should like to join!

 

You will be more than welcome Richard. Will be a steady, relaxed pace in my group .!

Brilliant day today. Great breakfast with Richard at 1066, finally met my mate Pat there. Headed off to Clifftop cafe to meet Davetona. a great bendy ride there and spectacular views. Headed off to H's and then to Richard's mum's place in Pluckley and then separated at Sissinghurst.

I echo Alan's opinion - terrific route via ...well, lots of places. Too many to name, really. Pat was kind enough to give me some restrained guidance when he was probably thinking, 'What a Plonker'. Nice chap. Nicer bike! Ought to be on here.

Some more pics: before Davetona and my sausage sandwich arrived at the Cliff Top cafe (these events were coincidental, not connected or causal) and the Mega Bike and my own at H's. One day, somebody will have to explain to me how we happened to arrive at H's having left Folkestone: I swear we went west, not north.

Getting into the lanes was great, shame there were so many holiday driving cagers about.
