    Hi Peeps.
Weather for next Sat/Sun 1-2 June Bluudy good n warm.
How about biting the bullet, day trip to Be- log -ne, 7 am ferry from Dover return, 7 pm, ferry from Calais. For a bike £16 return on 'Myferrylink'
Bimble down the coast on the D940 where the Jerries built huge bunkers believing that's where the Brits where going to storm. Lunch in Boulogne, beers or coffee's, or baguettes. Can bimble to Le Touquet another 30 miles if peeps want. Altogether about 90/100 miles total, easy pace round trip.
Back on the ferry 19:00, back in Blighty about 19:30. Any takers .. I will lead.:ftic:
If you have a topbox, will stop off for cheepo wine box buy, 5lit for €9, that's what we usually do.
    Pee artists that we are...

Last trip we visited the 30 ton 'Big Bertha' gun emplacement, it fired shells across the channel.
Last year the visit was the war beaches, fascinating!
These never got to the beach,[IMG] they sunk as they were launched, with crews!

Great pics, Pat. I'm collecting my son from Bath next weekend. I might otherwise have been sorely tempted! Sounds spiffing...

Doing the poker run this weekend. Hoping to maybe camp over, have a few drinks on the Sat and listen to some music. Also hoping there will be no offs this time and I get to collect all my poker cards :).
However, would be up for a trip over to France sometime soon.

    Hi Guys n Gals.
Did our run to Le Touquet Monday, we booked thru 'My Ferry Link' gave us return price of £12 day return. 20% cheaper than P&O. They have a better way of securing the bikes, you have to actually run the bike into a securing ramp and the crew strap your passenger footpegs supports to the deck hooks. Mind you they leave you to release them yourself, okay if other Bikers are around, but overall no probs unless you bike is a Harley/Goldwing.
P&O have a crap system where they strap you across the seat with a truck tie-down, okay if you can find one not rusty or sh*tty, and the padding is good, or you end up with a ripped seat. Then it's tugged down onto your sidestand, I've actually bought one off fleabay £7, and carry it with me. The joys of using the ferry, aye!
The weather was absolute crap it never got above 10c and the wind was freezing, we dressed for hot weather as we were going to walk around town. It was a recce for next week, we have booked a week in the town and we have blind/part sighted peeps, with us. Have to suss out parking and the hotel.
Towns lovely, rather like a down market Biarritz, near the Spanish border. As you can see the typical French coffee bar plus typical price €3.50 for a cup!

Nice bimble down and love the way the cage drivers let you pass by pulling over and too many signals from passing bikers, arm and foot ache replying, but good to see such camaraderie.
Cocked up timing, forgot my fone auto adjusts time, and thought we had another hour to spare, we didn't. Only just got vino visit in to pick up our supplies.
The roads are great and empty and parking is no probs, even in the busiest part of towns.

And, from the pictures, where is everyone?
