Chatty Bikers?

    Is there any way to make the chat room more popular, how about registering when someones in it? Quite often visit but the echo is deafening, on other forums you can see how many peeps are chatting.
    Nice to exchange banter when your bored rather than just texting.

    I think paul (roadwart) was looking into some plugins for the forum software alittle while back regarding this but not sure how far he got with it...

    The current chat room is only a temporary solution because its slow a buggery but was a quick fix.

    With Xenforo (our forum software) still being fairly young, there`s a good few add ons that won`t currently fully integrate with it. I am looking at a new solution but its java based which can bring its own problems such as potential security issues. Believe me, once a suitable replacement is found there will be a nice big announcement :)

    OK, I`ve installed a second "trial" chat room which can be accessed from the top of the forum between "Events" & "Member map"

    You have the option of running it in the browser or as a popup window. Give it a whack ppl & once I know its stable enough, I`ll upgrade it to a "Full" version which will enable some more features including "Whos on chat", so you`ll be able to see from the forum whos available in the chatroom.

    You missed a bluuudy good ride-out today Richard. Met Alan at Rye and we rode with a bunch of riders to Folky-stone, lovely weather. Roads massively busy with cyclists and cagers on a go slow.
