    Just spotted on BBC

    Severe
    Traffic Incidents

A275 East Sussex - A275 in Chailey closed in both directions at the B2183 Beggar's Wood Road junction, because of an accident involving motorcycle.

Very local to us...hope whoever it is is OK

I do know this can be an awkward subject....but the amount of deer in this area now is getting crazy. A22 at Nutley there is almost 1 deer hit every day. I know we all love Bambi but I am convinced I wouldn't want to hit one! They've spread so far from the forest now....you can see them all the way down here in the Hailsham/Herstmonceux area.

Why is it an awkward subject? They need culling big time, all those people who stand up and say "OHHH NOOO" would not being saying that if it was one of their loved ones that died in a crash involving a deer. I love watching Deer, but where they are suppose to be, there are so many deer now on the Ashdown Forest they are just all moving off the forest further and further away. With so people are starving in the world, shoot the lot and send it abroad instead of us giving billions away :), (ok not all of them) and as BlackHornets states very very tasty, :), with all the the horse meat fiasco, Venison burgers and Sausages were in big demand :)

Very sad indeed :(. My condolences to his family and friends.

The problem is deer have no natural predators now, and numbers are increasing in all areas.
I see enough of them when I'm on my motorcycle, but riding my bicycle I'm relatively silent and come upon them before they bolt away, so I'm more aware of the increase in numbers.

I think a cull is urgent now.
