The Police claim that they have investigated this case fully and that the matter is now closed.

It is particularly relevant that this occured in Kent.

All the more galling is that the young lady has never ben interviewed to get her side of the story and a Sgt states that riders filter entirely at their own risk, rather than stating that care is required on the part of all road users, and the fact that the Highway Code makes it quite clear that drivers should look out for motorcyclists filtering, and the list goes on.

A formal complaint has been made against the Police, and quite rightly so.

This is standard for Kent police. They never took my statement before concluding the case. Nor did they breathalyse anyone

It's like they just want to go home instead.

Agreed  , a few years ago, I got took out, head on by a drunk driver, who then did a runner but got caught

Any way, half a day later I wake up in hospital to find a 7 day producer tucked in my leather's pocket, lazy cnuts  would of taken them 2 minutes to do that with thier technology roadside, they also took all the details of MY witness's off of my friend and neither me nor my insurance company were allowed the details back untill thier crimial case was finished... lazy fcukers

oh... but they found the time to re-trace my route with a bike copper to check if i was speeding (they found a debit card reciept in my wallet form where we had filled up 10 miles earlier), despite 4 witness saying I was neither speeding or dangerous riding, luckily we had checked tyre pressures and had a smoke after paying for petrol :D:old:

It seems I got lucky when I had my accident. The Police attended and breathalysers were being waved all over the place. I gave a statement while I was still lying on the ground and the Police came to A&E and took more details from me once everyone had decided I wasn't going to die. Sadly they decided not to prosecute the ex policeman that caused the accident and then assaulted me but you can't have everything, I suppose.
If I hadn't been lucky enough to have really good witnesses I think I would have had trouble winning the case against him but it's all turned out O.K in the end.
If I had been treated like the lady who is making the complaint I would have been furious. It's bad enough being injured and all the related problems that come with it but if the Police won't help you there's no chance of being treated fairly. I hope she gets a proper chance to put her side of the story.

I have a tip for you, Tom. If it ever happens again, stay down and go for the sympathy vote. At least you'll get some free drugs.

Yes it was. I'd come all the way from Assen and then crashed a few miles from home. The Police seemed to arrive quite quickly. There was a little more to it then I've put down here but I can tell all once the claim is completed. Hopefully won't be too long now.
