    :nah:

As sporty said, they newer "evo" engined harleys are rubber mounted which, apparently, makes a HUGE difference to the vibration problem.

As for being agricultural, the simpler the engine, the easier it *should* be to fix without specialist tools & diagnostics machines. Maybe HD still use the KISS method (Keep It Simple, Stupid!).

Harleys are lumbersome agricultural turds, :poop: had a go on one some years back and it was uninviting, lacked any mojo and vibrated like a fanny rabbit!
    Fucking horrible.....:nah:

You have a fanny rabbit?:eek::eek:...........that does actually explain a lot :hah:

They are most definitely muchly improved on the vibration front......I can testify to that.....but still not worth how much they cost!
I remember a saying from many moons ago......OVER priced, OVER rated and OVER here.

Talking of filling pants & turds....
Funniest thing I saw when driving thru' Greenwich years ago was a hobo who stopped shuffling in front of a shop & just stood there swaying. He held a wierd expression then shook his trouser leg & carried on. That was when we saw the turd on the pavement:eek: , poor old sod.

LOL.. No worries, as an HD owner you get used to it . Like all bikes I think some are ugly dogs and some are gorgeous. I do tend to mock the real officionado's, but im certainly not putting my moleskin chaps on ebay :D

Your right about weight. My Sporty is 50kg heavier than my Honda, that's nearly 8 stone . They really handle well due to a low centre of Gravity. Vibration is sorted (on new sportsters) and fuel injection makes a huge difference to performance. Have i said it really handles... Moneywise, id never buy a new one, but you got to remember its also an investment with regards to resale and depreciation, they seem to hold their value well (if its looked after). Probably for the sheer amount of iron + steel involved. :MC:

Im certainly not an HD man and if 10 years ago someone had said i would one day own one i would have laughed...

Was his name 'Alan'? He'll take great exception at being called a 'Hobo' as he has a house in Northiam.
