Tom you know what I mean about "if you don't like it you can leave" , it is not about forcing people to stay, but not forcing people away over bad decisions made by a few.

Nothing was ever posted to me as to why my post was deleted, and my post was deleted not too long after it was posted.

Any mod who thinks he is here to please the majority, even if it is clearly a wrong decision, should not be a mod, in fact the Forum should never be run to just please the majority, which once again just shows why the TC post was deleted, I am guessing it was a snap decision by you, and Roadwart with out even the other mods being involved.

no its about choice, forcing people away is banning, doesn't get much more forced than that. The decision was not a snap one, it took me a few hours to decide what to do. simply put the first thread broke the rules. so i removed, it then goes into the mods area for all mods to see, where if any one thought it was the wrong choice they can happliy say so, none did. As i said maybe you can't see the reason given as to why the the second post was close, i'm not sure if its a mod thing or not, didn't think it was limited but can't check. You say clearly the wrong decision and so far i have not gone into detail as to the posts ( for the reason it doesn't really effect many people )but if you really want me too i can . From what i understand you object to a post you put up being deleted, which was on a thread that had been around for a few months before you posted on it and it would be fair to say that you only posted on that thread because i had closed another thread which was already beginning to get heated. once again regardless of what your post said if it could be seen as likely to continue a matter that is already best closed then the same would happen to any post and it would be removed from public view.

Should for what ever reason a post of yours be deleted in the future then i would suggest the easiest why to resolve any issue you have is to ask why at the time. that way you get what you want, a way to prevent this occuring again. i mean you seam to think that it's all down to the mods to explain their actions, yet here on this forum you have ways of contacting any of them either by pm or by posting here. i'm not aware that you did either. Therefore blaming mods when they have set things in place to allow you to communicate your issues to them is passing the buck. To be honest if mods had to explain very choice made every act taken then nothing would be done. Maybe we should ask every member to always explain their posts too?

In my honest opinon going over ground so old is pointless, more to the point going over and over is just plain disurptive. fine if you suggest an idea to advoid it in the future but still that has yet to be done. The fact that such a big song and dance is being made over two posts out out 40,000 just makes me think that you are only concern with you and to hell with everyone else. Hopefully i'm wrong about that and this can be brought to a speedy end. the reasons why the post was deleted have been explain now ( my first post and again here ) and if you accept or not is your choice.

I will add this which isn't focused towards anyone as a singular but to anyone who wishes to read it.Roadwart does spend an awful lot of time trying to keep this place working and running and should be thanked for that. Personally i think he made the right call on this one but even if he hadn't i would expect people to still be supporting of someone who does so much so that we can come here. Yes a forum is nothing without members but then members without a forum aren't much more. I can fully understand why he got pissed off in the other thread, it's a fairly thankless role he does but to have people start to try and have digs or questions his motives is wrong.

We as members and mods will sometimes make errors thats part of life. ( again this time i stand by what i did ) But when a mistake does happen if people make half as much of a song and dance about it then i would be inclined to think it's just not worth it, why should i or any other mod give time to anyone else if treated poorly. The same goes for any other member on here, most of which are always willing to help out others but if that always goes unthanked or worse gets turned into something it isn't why would they carry on either.

I agree this now really should end, but I feel now at least I have some answers for my part.

I can now see where some of the mis-understandings are coming, Tom remember I had not long joined the forum, so although I knew there were issues regarding TC by a few members, but in this case, I did not know threads or posts had all ready been deleted, or I was posting on a thread that already had some deletes. I was actually at the time reading quite a lot of different posts by people on the forum to catch up, and TC had posted quite a few different threads in different places, and it suddenly hit a nerve, (an after some other peoples comments too) the one I posted on again not knowing it was an old thread dragging up issues, I actually posted on it the true facts and then how I saw how he was using our forum, so I copied some of other forums identical posts he had made.

I know I have been quite pedantic over my issues, it is more the case for the future, it is frustrating to have posts deleted for unknown reasons, or reasons that people may not understand unless given.

As said above, this is pretty depressing. I'm not on here a lot and have only met a few people, but I think it's all getting a bit serious. People (mods) are probably going to bed worrying about this sort of stuff, and life's really too short. As I remember, this forum started because of problems with another forum which was run by one person (with help). Basically, what he said was the final word. People didn't like it/him so this forum started. I'm not sure if it was started by one person or a team. Democracy is great, but as far as forums go it seems to lead to nothing but problems! The best forum I'm a member of is run by one person. He has a small team of moderators, most of whom have been around for years and know each other well, and deal with any problems, but if it comes down to it, one person runs and pays for the forum, using donations, and what he says goes. Maybe it helps because it's not a local forum with groups of people in frequent contact, where maybe small factions form, but there are very few problems.

I made this very point just yesterday, in an unrelated matter admittedly.

Democracy gives everyone a voice, unfortunately it also means everyone has to be listened too. Ever wonder why things take so long to get put in motion? That'll be democracy (as I'm sure Les and Megawatt are finding out about the xmas do).

There's a lot to be said for a dictatorship lead communist approach, the rule is given and the masses obey. Very fast and with no faffing about.
It's no surprise that Germany and China / Japan are world leaders in so many areas with their history for following without question.

So really it comes down to this, if you want a voice you have to accept everyone has that same right. With a team of mods overseeing matters and every member holding equal weight the ship (or bike) will move slowly.
The other option is less appealing, except to those making the choices of course.

Ask yourself this, do you really want one person holding the reins making every decision as they see best without consideration or communication ?

No? Then calm the f*ck down and be nice to each other again!

Had a plan, tried it, sort of worked but not a lot. Car is still fubared but possibly for a different reason, just manifesting in the transmission.

    Fun!

It already was, if I sell the Striple I can fund it...
Then sell off the parts I have knocking about to finance a new bike to convert.
