Megga has posed the question to me of where would I like to ride on Sunday, one area I have never done is Maidstone, Medway, north kent. Was wondering if anyone in that area would like to show us around. The weather for Sunday (18 Nov) looks ok at the mo. So who is up for the job ??

Only good roads around Maidstone are back lanes which are covered in leaves/slime this time of year. Best head for Ashford way I reckon.

Not sure I can do Sunday but if it helps I would say:-

    Meet at Riverhead
    Ide Hill
    Four Elms
    Edenbridge
    Dormansland
    A264 to Tumbridge Wells
    A228 to Yalding
    B2162 through Hormonden
    A262 Goudhurst
    B2085 Hartley
    B2086 Rolvenden
    Then to Rye.

    Nice roads in there :rubhands:

Which is why I prob will not go, though Saturday I think will be poor weather anyhow, Most weekends we end up more towards the East than West, even when we always start at Wessons, Last week we went to Yalding, I would like a change this weekend and go West first. :)

Going somewhere with Keith, so it,s up to him how far west he wants to go. Or you westerners could organise yer own rideout. Sunday is looking good.

We did the Tunbridge Wells, Yalding back to Hastings run last week. Was definitely blinding on the way home! A good route but in reverse would be much better lol

I was asking to go north kent cos I`d not done that area but it seems I am being guided back west to sussex. If the roads in north kent are crap fair enough, I`ll just come for the ride.
As a side question has 1066 fallen out of favor? I only seem to hear of Wessons. Last time I was there on my own took me 20 mins to get bacon roll the other guy in there ordered a breakfast before me he got it as I was walking out the door having finished my roll. Fair enough if place crowded but we were the only two in there, not impressed with Wessons.

Yeah, agree with you Keith, more meets at 1066 then. Are you ok to head west on Sunday then? Meet at 1066 at what time? Breakfast from 1000, leave at 1100 ???
Anybody got a route heading west to where???

Run we did to Devil's Dyke with Hoppie a few months back was good fun. But I wouldn't be able to find my way there again . I like the place above Arundel too but can't remember the name!

The Arundel place is Bury Hill Leila. Devils Dyke sounds good and looks good. Never been there?
Just changed thread title to avoid confusion!
