F800ST recommission ....

    So ...

This bike had been standing for nearly five years when I came to start working on it. The owner Steve had crashed his previous Triumph 1050ST and bought this little Beemer as a replacement. Unfortunately his tumble knocked the wind out of his motorcycling sails and the he and his newly aquired Beemer did less then 200 miles before he parked it up in the back of his garage never to be ridden again.
I was asked to recommission the bike in order to ready it for sale.

The bike was suffering from the usual traits of being stood up for long periods. Rusty discs, corroded forks and furry alloy parts. Dead battery and flat tyres to name a few.

I replaced the fuel, brake and clutch fluid, coolant and oil. Gave the bike a full service, removed and cleaned the life out the discs.

I painted the forks and parts of the front mudguard, replaced the battery and gave the bike a good valet.

All in all quite a nice little project and Steve was thrilled with the results .........

There's some dirt on the floor by the mat. Come on, Tunner, get a grip...

I confess to being stunned by the machines you have pictured. Those have to be worth top dollar!
