That's a bloody good idea. Although I have a dry sump in the KTM, getting the oil out of the oil tank is a right old PITA. The site doesn't have a link for 'where to buy', so if you find somewhere, let me know.

A guy on another forum fitted one instead of repairing his drain valve thread. I think they cost around £35 to £40.

My sump plug has a magnet in it to catch any metal particles, so I'd prefer to keep it. :) Looks like a nice idea though.

I have had it where air gets back in around the bleed nipple thread, but looks like it might save some time for not much money. :)

    Brake bleeding - http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/..._productId_204645_langId_-1_categoryId_255216

Oil drainging - erm. Gravity? I reckon I change my oil in Ogy more than you lot change yours in your bikes and I don't see the point of it bar saving a little mess if you can't aim your spray *ahem*.

I wouldn't bother with a quick release valve for a once a year job which most bikes oil change is (excluding the few that ride daily) plus as Ducky says, having a magnetic drain plug is a lot more appealing than a quick release drain valve.

Also; for extra thorough oil changes, as your plugs are out anyway (if not pull the leads off) crank the engine 2 or 3 times for about 5 seconds a go, this will help push any oil hiding in the gearbox and galleyways out.

Hey! They ran into me :p

Auto transmission is a touch 'sensitive' every 2.5k miles the oil is shot.

Have you finished that bike yet?
