    Nope, those bulbs won't give you the look of HID. If you want that, simply source an HID kit.

    Here's mine (although the spotlights are LED):

    I'm led to believe, that HIDs are getting harder to get past an MOT, legally they need to be fitted with self levelling and cleaning kit, and they (the MOT testers) are clamping down on it
