Its heartbreaking loosing someone close and sad to hear of anyone loosing life in tragic circumstances, i fully understand peoples need to express grief. How they do it, or don't do it, is a direct reflection on them, their own beliefs, superstitions, faith or state of mind.

Personally i never mind others comments, but don't comment myself when its someone i don't know or know very little about, whats the point? i'm not religious so the ''rest in peace,'' bit seems invalid. If i say ''my thoughts are with their family ''what does that actually mean if i have never met them???

Celebrity death, is quite a phenomenon, the mass public hysteria that ensues is often astounding. Millions of people, who probably know very little about a celebs real life, turn out to express their 'personal loss' and trauma - FOR SOMEONE THEY NEVER MET??

I guess its always healthy to remind ourselves of the dangers of motorcycling and posting something is a way to do this. I agree with what Nicky said above, i also like to hear what happened if only to learn something from a sad example.
