Theres a lot of people saying different things on this, some say warm soapy water is bad and i should buy all this leather polish and what not others swear by warm soapy water... What do i you use and recommend?

Gawd - never use soapy water. Go buy some saddle soap from your nearest equestrian supplier. It's pretty cheap and feeds the leather whilst cleaning it. Once you've got 'em all nice and clean, try a lanolin-based saddle leather spray to finish them off as it keeps the water out (ish).

Finchy, you're abroad on holiday and yet you still manage to reply to a thread about cleaning within half an hour of it being posted.

This is not a good thing.

    ;)

Saddle soap is a good call. Its designed for cleaning & maintaining leather saddles after all.

+1 for baby wipes. They're also good for removing chain lube from the wheels! Makes you wonder what's in baby crap....
