Just stayed local where it was dry but windy, which has shifted the leaves off the roads.

Well today didn't go quite to plan. Was gonna do some DIY this morning and then meet Nigel and Wayne in Dover. Daughter's driving instructor Gareth, of SaraGaz SECB couple, turned up in a panic. Driver's side window on 1998 Audi A4 went down , but wouldn't come up again  He was too busy earning money to fix it and someone had told him" Oh yeah mine did the same, cost over £400 to fix it". So I drove down to Hastings, eventually ripped the door panel off and found a plastic cable anchor point had dismantled itself and the mechanism wouldn't work. Pushed the window up and gaffertaped in the shut position until spare parts could be found.
Eventually got to the Oasis for coffee and lunch with big Nige and then off to Dover. Very windy on the M20 and over the top to Dover Harbour. Met Wayne on the lifeboat and had a guided tour of the boat with the Coxswain and 2nd mechanic. Had a brew, took some twilight piccies and arrived home after a windy ride back to Ashford and A28 to Northiam. Think I deserve a beer now!!!:disco:

Couple more pix from today with my mate Wayne. He is 3rd mechanic on the boat. Got a letter of commendation for rescuing 7 people in January this year.
