Was yesterday but I fired up the TZR for a quick 5 mile jaunt to get the engine up to temp. God I love that bike. Needs new tyres as they are screwing up the handling, so once that is done it will be back to its best again. Did I say how much I adore my TZR!!!!

Having a parking ticket issued by Camden council revoked. Can't be arsed with going in to the details but suffice to say it was a vote for common sense!!!

Just opened A case via eBay against A twat who was trying to rip me off for £8.50, less than 5 minutes later I had A full refund well done eBay.
I know it was only £8.50 but it was the principle and it cheered me up. :)

Nice one :) there are definitely some unscrupulous people on there...my daughter bought an I-phone 4 from a guy who buys and sells phones on there last year. She went into town on Saturday and tried to part-ex it on a new phone and when they checked IME number it came up as lost or stolen!

Tyres, car tyre prices to be precise. My car needs a new set of rear tyres. I keep a list of online tyre retailers and their prices when I last checked. I knew my rear tyres (poxy run flats) were expensive and my list confirmed when I last checked, they were £305 each :cry2: so imagine my delight when today the cheapest I can get them is £192 each .

Okay, so that is still expensive but I am actually very happy that the price has come down so much

Best get on with checking pricesfor a new front tyre for the blade and a pair of tyres for the TZR. May is going to be a nasty month for paying for new rubber!!

I drove the first gen RFT shod BMWs and they were dire. Very unsettled ride but my five series is really good on them. Problem is that there is nowhere to store either a space saver tyre or an ///M mobility kit (the tyre goo and pump). I'm going to stick with them as I am getting around 13000 miles from a set of rears which is great compared to the 5000 I used to get from my M3 and M5s rears :hah:

I'll check out the maxxis for the blade when the rear needs doing again if they do a 130/70/16 for the front. Going to put Avon AM26's on the TZR.

Phil, I will get the bike tyres from tyreleader, great prices and the car tyres from camskill.

Got my bike back from being serviced today. Also needed new pads all round (3 sets in all), rear caliper unseizing & a new front tyre & paying only £20 more than originally quoted for just the service.

There must be something in the air today. I have been running moonshine across the border on the bike. (Well, really it was just me, going to meet a friend in Rye after work, to hand over a couple of bottles of mead I've been saving for him, but running moonshine sounds much more exciting). I took care to pack the bottles safely in my tail pack and tried to ride smoothly and it worked. Didn't even stir up any sediment. I was most impressed, although I don't think I'll make a habit of carrying bottles very often.
